It is unclear whether standard British TV could be any worse than the insipid and insulting mess of reality drivel and inane news yackers we get, but they do take a different slant on some things. Outdoors shows are an example.

I must admit that I don’t really pay attention to the American outdoors shows anymore, as I simply don’t care to watch Billy Bob derrick in yet another hawg bass. I’m sure that we have some good shooting shows somewhere. I’ve just not seen them.

Much of the British countryside media is devoted to such enthralling subjects as Lady Thrushbotham’s ferret derby, but there are some interesting bits that they are kind enough to stream onto the Internet. Thanks to the Field Sports Channel, you might enjoy the following snippets on shotgun sports from the British and Scottish perspective:

If you have any favorite American TV shotgunning shows, please share them with us. There has to be something good out there for us wingshooters.

Until then, back to my favorite daytime TV soaps. Boots off. Beer open.
