L.C. Smith: The Gun for All Purposes
L.C. Smith—the undiscovered collectible. A true American classic that has been under-appreciated for years. The "Elsie" was both the workingman's gun and a gun for the serious collector.
L.C. Smith .410s—At Their Finest
Top: Ideal Skeet in .410. A fine example of the sportsman's "custom-built gun." Bottom: a hard-to-find .410 Skeet Special in high-quality original condition. There were only 770 Skeet Specials manufactured, and who knows how many .410s? It is unusual to find an Ideal or Skeet Special in excellent condition, let alone two of them—and both in .410!
The L.C. Smith A-3—The Gun of Perfection
This A-3, built in 1904, was one of 17 built to the highest grade L.C. Smith offered pre-1913. The A-3 was a combination of the finest engraving, scrollwork and skip-line checkering offered at the time.
L.C. Smith Premier Trap Single
This gun shows the highly executed scrollwork and realistic deep-relief engraving tupical of a Premier Grade. It is one of only two Trap Singles built in Premier Grade.
From top: A close-up of the trademark gold-inlay lightning bolt and fine engraving. The rib designating the gun as a "Premier Trap." A realistically engraved game scene embellishing the action bottom. A quiet elegance apparent within the quality skip-line checkering the beavertail forearm.
Waterfowl Guns—Knockout Grade
A pair of super-high-condiiton No. 2 Grade, consecutively numbered, 1--gauge waterfowl guns. It is very hard to find one Grade 2 in high condition, let alone a pair in original condition.
Post-1913 Premier Grade
This gun, one of 28 built, is a very fine example of an original-condiiton Premier Grade. The post-1913 Premier Grade was a precursor to the De Luxe. It was a minimalistic yet exquisite exercise in the highest-quality workmanship offered at the time.
De Luxe Grade: The Ultimate Masterpiece
The De Luxe Grade was the pinnacle of L.C. Smith quality & craftsmanship. This beautiful specimen speaks for itself.
Pre-1913—The Golden Era of L.C. Smith
This No. 5 Grade, pre-1913, Damascus-barreled gun shows the most-sought-after workmanship of its time.
