Springers and Cockers
Charles Fergus
Havoc, my two-year-old English cocker spaniel, hunted to the left. When he got about 10 yards out, I pipped my whistle and the black dog turned sharply and crossed back in front of me. His tail, held at hock-height, whipped back and forth. His nose made deep snuffling sounds as it drew in scent. He shoved his way through briers and wormed beneath dogwood stems. Suddenly Havoc darted forward-and flushed a woodcock. Click here for Spaniel Resources.
