The Fatigue Factor

It's the longest layoff I've had since I began shooting sporting clays in 1989. I'd like to say the hiatus was solely a matter of choice-an opportunity to recharge the old batteries or get the stars realigned or some other nonsense like that. But it wasn't. Truth is some health "issues" reared their unpleasant heads and had more than a little bit to do with it. You would think that when I resumed shooting, I would have taken all of this into account. Rather than use common sense and gradually ease back into it, however, I jumped in with both feet by entering a competition that, statistically, would rank somewhere in the top 10 in the country.
