Being as One
And ye two shall be as one . . . ." This applies equally well to marriage as to shooting. It may help explain why the one sometimes ends in the other, but that's a notion to explore another time. For now let's just say that being as one with a gun is a key element in a successful shot. A successful shot has but few, though vitally important, components-good stance and posture, a consistent ready position, a solid mount, and dead-on visual contact with the target. It also involves a fifth element that few instructors seem to address: follow-through.
