Purdey's to Reintroduce 20-Bore Hammergun
Five years ago James Purdey & Sons teamed up with Griffin & Howe and took the art of gunmaking back to the early part of the 20th Century when they launched a limited run of new 12-bore Purdey hammerguns-the first new hammerguns to leave Purdey's London factory in about 70 years. "When we began discussing the hammergun project with Purdey's," said Joe Prather, president of Griffin & Howe, "we en-visioned that when the time came, we would follow up with 20-bores."
