A Dash of Sage
By Photographs by Clair Kofoed
[Photoessay]
It's a recipe for sage grouse success.
Take one vast, open landscape. Sprinkle liberally with sagebrush. Add some spring rain-but not too much. Bake in the Wyoming heat for the summer.
Once cool, carve out an ample slice of territory.
Apply a wide-ranging pointing dog. Cover thoroughly.
When the birds rise, serve with a side (by side) of gunfire . . . . Enjoy.
