Shooting
Methodology
We have become fond of referring to any style of shooting as a "method." I suppose this goes to an instinctive wish to quantify things. That's OK. As a species, we like to think things thoroughly through, even if it means thinking them to death. In shooting schools my partners and I point out that we can bring almost anyone within six inches of becoming a world-class shot. Sticker is, those six inches are the straight-line distance from one ear to the other. Some years ago we dreamed up the perfect shooter: about 19 years old, in superb physical condition, with an IQ of 12.
