Green Days

Enjoying driven shooting on the merald Isle

County Down, Northern Ireland, hard by the Irish Sea.

Ballywalter Park has been the home of the Mulholland family—now headed by the 6th Baron Dunleath —for more than 160 years.

Each fall the family opens its estate to shooting—driven pheasants and partridge in the traditional manner . . .

. . . and driven ducks, presenting high mallards over the Guns.

The nearby Downpatrick marshes hold snipe—walked up in waders and plucked from the sky.

All part of enjoying the luck of the Irish on the
Emerald Isle.
