Ages before high-tech, vari- able-level, remote elec- tronic collars were devel-oped, cattle prods and even wires attached to batteries were used in attempts to link negative associations to undesirable dog behaviors. Those days of harsh methods and high voltage were the Dark Ages of dog training. Now, with the benefit of modern tools, today's top trainers are developing stylish and confident dogs. Remember: No dog looks better or trains easier with more pressure. Top-of-the-line e-collars offer a multitude of low stimulation levels as well as both momentary and continuous modes that allow for jumps or rapid rises to higher levels.
