Tricking Out for Travel
Transporting dogs in Comfort
By Tom Huggler
Think back to any great bird hunt: Was a dog involved? After all, dogs often provide the points or flushes and retrieves on those great days we can't forget. They offer the loyalty and love that we often take for granted. At day's end, who among us doesn't appreciate a warm head on the knee and butter-soft ears to stroke? A world without bird dogs would be a glass half-empty.
Because we owe them so much, keeping our dogs healthy and happy is the least we can do. Making sure they are warm, safe and dry during travel is key, not only to their well-being but to their performance in the field, as well.
