27th Blue Book Due This Spring
The forthcoming 27th edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values will be especially appealing to shotgun fans. The 2,000-page tome not only will be bigger and better and built on the previous accomplishments that make it the authoritative source for gun collectors and researchers, but this year's edition will feature a handsome pair of L.C. Smiths on the front cover and a pair of Lefevers on the back. The two photos-each including a high and low grade from the respective makers-are eye candy that SSM readers will appreciate.
The 27th edition of author/publisher S.P. Fjestad's exhaustive reference work contains more than 300,000 gun values based on a condition percentage system, 64 pages of illustrations covering the Photo Percentage Grading System, and more than 1 million words of text.
The traditional softcover book will cost $39.95, with a release date anticipated in mid-April. The book will be available on a CD for computer use for $24.95, or packaged with the new "Blue Book of Guns Inventory Software Program" for $49.95. The 27th edition also will be available electronically as an unlimited-access one-year online subscription or as manufacturer-specific downloads.
