FeedConcours Heads to Chicago

The Gold Medal Concours d'Elegance of Fine Guns is heading to the Chicago area. The twice-annual event is held in the fall with The Vintage Cup, at Orvis Sandanona, in Millbrook, New York, and in the spring at locations farther west. GMC IX will take place on Saturday, May 14, in conjunction with the National Side by Side Festival (see p. 14) in Hainesville, Illinois. The Concours has become the event for fine guns of all types, old and new. The GMC is neither a gun show nor a museum display; it is a "gentlemanly competition" of collectible, historic, beautiful and just plain interesting rifles and shotguns displayed for all to admire and for a panel of judges to evaluate.
