Merkel 2116 ELC O/U 16/20 Combo

Merkel without a 16-gauge over/under is like Weiner without its Schnitzel. It's just not right. Merkel has a 16 side-by-side, but the 16 O/U ceased in the late '90s, when Merkel changed its O/U line from the 200 series to the new 2000 series and the 16 didn't make the cut. Now, five years later, the 16 O/U is back. When this past fall SSM Ed-in-Chief Ralph Stuart mentioned that he would be hunting with the latest Merkel 2116ELC 16- and 20-gauge O/U two-barrel combo and that I would be welcome to test the gun afterward, I jumped at the chance.
