Book Review
From Locks to Laughter
With this installment, I'll look at a long-awaited book on English guns, an innovative guide to canine health, a well-written collection of bird hunting tales and a compendium of humorous pieces on hunting and fishing. British Gunmakers, Volume Two By Nigel Brown (Quiller Publishing; distributed by Safari Press, 800-451-4788; www.safaripress .com; 2005) 459 pp. $100. The second volume of Nigel Brown's comprehensive history of English guns is out at last, and I'm happy to report that it's worth the wait-and the hefty price tag as well.
