Panic
Stress is a killer. Or so they tell us-and for a change I agree with whomever "they" happen to be. Having survived one heart attack and an ongoing battle with arrhythmia, both brought about by stress, I'm willing to concede the point. The cardiologists can have the high ground; from down here in the trenches, I can tell you that stress does kill good shooting. Stress breeds panic, and panic spells the difference between a well-taken shot and a frantic, aimless poke. Panic is by definition the sudden onset of powerful emotion-powerful enough to cloud your brain against a positive response.
